Frequently Asked Questions

Our bike bars hold a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 riders. Each Pedal Hopper has ten pedal seats, two non-pedal seats over the back wheels, a back bench that holds three guests, and room in the middle for one “bartender”/designated dancer.

Our Public Bike Bar Tours are designed for groups of less than 8 people on our Downtown Route. Reserve seats for a few friends and let us fill the remaining spots with other riders. A minimum of 8 riders total is required for every Public Tour. Our office will reach out at least 24 hours in advance if your scheduled Public Tour does not meet the minimum rider requirement. You then have the option to reschedule for another public tour at a future date or receive a full refund.

All Public and Private bike bar tours are two hours long. Please call or email our office for any special event tour requests longer than 2 hours.

All Pedal Hopper reservations include a locally based, licensed designated driver to lead your tour. Our “Pilots” will keep you group safe and show you the latest and greatest bars and restaurants your route has to offer. No need to draw straws to see who is going to be the sober driver. Just kick back, pedal, and have fun!

The Pedal Hopper does not sell or serve alcohol and nothing that appears to be alcohol is allowed on board. No beer cans or glass bottles of any sort. You may bring beverages in resealable plastic or metal containers only. Each bike has room for a standard sized cooler. All Pedal Hopper Tours are subject to local laws and regulations.

All riders on the Pedal Hopper must be 21 or older. ID will be required upon check in.

Yes. Pedaling is part of the fun of participating in a bike bar tour with us! We now offer Electronic Pedal Assist on all of our bike bars, which will help give your group a little push up hills making the ride as comfortable as possible.

Yes. Bookings are available online up to 48 hours before scheduled departure. We may have tours available within the 48-hour window, but you’ll need to call our office, so we can make sure we have a Pilot available.

All online bookings require pre-payment at the time of booking. If you’d like us to hold your Private Tour reservation, call our team at the Pedal Hopper HQ. We’ll collect a $150 deposit via credit card upon booking. The balance due will automatically collect the morning of your tour using the card on file. All Public Tours are prepaid only.

Our Pilots work hard to make sure you have the best experience possible. We suggest about 20% of the booking cost for each group. Gratuity is prepaid for corporate tours and special events.

For Private Tours, you will receive a full refund if canceled at least 30 days before the scheduled departure. We offer the choice of a raincheck valid for three months or a 50% refund for cancellations made 14-30 days before the tour. No refunds or rainchecks for cancellations made within two weeks of your tour. For Public Tours, no rainchecks or cancellations. Yes! We offer discounted off-season rates from November 1st – March 31st.

The Pedal Hopper operates rain or shine. If it’s safe to operate a tour/ ride and pilot the bike bar, we’ll plan on taking your group out. Keep in mind that our bike bar has a roof in case there’s a little bit of rain or snow. You will be notified by your Pilot or Management Team at least two hours before the scheduled departure if it’s unsafe to be on the roads. Canceled tours will receive a refund or a raincheck. The weather in Denver can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to plan ahead and keep an eye on the forecast. Please note that once a tour starts, there are no cancellations or partial refunds available.

We often have tours scheduled back to back, so keeping on schedule is important. You will be charged a late fee if you do not return the Pedal Hopper to the start/end location on time.
